Peacefully at her residence, surrounded by her family, Rosaleen, predeceased by her son, Brian, sisters, Mona, Anne, Carmel , and her brother John. Beloved wife of Paddy and loving mother of Siobhan Farrell (Cliffoney), Róisín (Dublin), Jim (Boston), Patricia Blunden (Dublin), Joseph (Boston) and Hugh (Dublin).

Deeply regretted by her loving husband, sons, daughters, sister, Tess Lang (Collooney), brothers Kieran and Anthony (Dublin), Sons-in-law, Seamus and John, Daughters-in-law, Beatriz and Amy, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, Brian, Elaine, Jennifer, Caridad, Lily, Tess, Eve, Malachy, Aideen and Aishling, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Rest in peace.

Funeral will arrive at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Sligo, on Tuesday for requiem mass at 12.00 followed by burial in Sligo Cemetery.

Due to Government and HSE guidelines, Rosaleen’s  funeral Mass will be private for family only.

  2. Our sincere condolences to Paddy and all the family on Rosaleen’s passing, she was a very special lady. She always welcomed us, as Patricia’s friends, into your home with open arms and a warm heart. In more recent years, we have joined ye with our own children, to watch the St. Patrick’s Day parade pass your home. We shall miss her as a good influence in our lives.
    May she rest in heavenly peace with all her family and friends.

    Memories of the happy and fun time we all had together in Playa del Ingles every night at the Beverly Park Hotel…She really enjoyed her card game!!

What fond memories we have of Rosaleen and visiting the Smith home. We were greeted with a warm smile and looked after so well. Loved going in on St Patrick’s Day to watch the parade. She was a true lady who will be greatly missed. You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this sad and difficult time. May her gentle soul now Rest in Peace.
