Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at Sligo University Hospital. Predeceased by his beloved wife Marie, brothers Michael, Sean, Pat and his grandson Gavin. Loving father of Maureen, Margaret, Brendan, Jacqueline, Richard and Gerry. Richie, sadly missed by his daughters, sons, daughters-in-law Veronica and Anne, sons-in-law Charlie and Raymond, sister Maureen, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at his daughter Margaret’s house, Ballygawley F91 C8E2 on Monday evening 19th June from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral will arrive to St. Joseph’s Church, Ballytivnan, Sligo on Tuesday morning 20th June at 12:00pm for requiem mass, followed by burial in Sligo Cemetery.

  1. Sincere condolences to Gerry, Jackie, Maureen and all the Mahon family on the sad passing of your lovely Dad, Richie. We have great memories of our time together in South Africa and the craic we had when Richie & Marie visited. May Richie rest in peace.

  3. Sincere sympathy to Maureen and the Mahon family on the death of Richie. Such a lovely, sincere and genuine man. We were always happy to meet him at family occasions. We know how much he meant to everyone but in particular to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He has left behind a great legacy. May he now rest in peace, united with his cherished Marie.
