  3. Dear Paul, Thanya, Declan and Damian, our deepest condolences on the passing of your father. We had the great pleasure in meeting your Dad in Sligo and the honor and privilege of spending an entertaining and educational evening with him. Stay strong and may we all honor his memory.

  4. We send condolences to the family, and loving thoughts of Peter: his wit, humor, and intelligence will always stay close to our hearts as we traveled afar to visit him from the US.

  5. Peter was a kind, sincere man who always wanted to help people. He was actually very droll though I’m almost sure he would have denied it. He and his brother Eddie, our father, were similar in many ways and Peter’s passing is a sad end to that era of our family. As a teacher he was intellectual of course but he was also physically skilled; I know he loved DIY and spent hours discussing the ‘best’ tools to use with our father. He was also a craftsman; we still have the gift of ‘knotting’ which he gave to our mother. Over the years we exchanged many interesting and entertaining ideas. We will truly miss him.

  6. Deepest sympathies to Declan, Paul, Damian and their extended Families on the death of Peter. We thank him for his service to the Glencar and Diffreen communities.

  7. Dear Paul, Thanya, Declan, Damian and the rest of the Gilmurray family,

We send our deepest condolences to you all and want you to know we will be thinking about you today and in the days and weeks to come. Although we never had the honor of meeting your father, we know that his memory will live on in the many lives he touched and influenced over the years, and in the warmth and generosity that are hallmarks of the Gilmurray family. Thank your for your friendship and please let us know if there is anything we can do for you.

  8. Please accept my sincere sympathy on the death of your father. He was so kind to me years ago when i subbed at Diffreen N.S. He and Rena McGowan picked me up and dropped me off all during my brief tenure. I have happy memories of both Peter and Rena. I feel very fortunate to have known such a fine gentleman. May he rest in peace.

(I grew up in Manorhamilton and have been living abroad for many years.)

    Le gach dea gui!

  9. Condolences to family. RIP
