  26. The most sincere & heartfelt condolences for Padraic’s family on his passing; from all of his Casey cousins & extended family over here across de Pond. He was a witty & intelligent gentleman & we valued our too short visits that we’ve had with him.

One especially fond Arcadian memory is just sitting on a sand dune on the Strand for a few idyllic hours watching him & my younger brother Joe, the ex-Marine, whacking the golf balls out into space with such elán & agility, while maintaining their wonderful craic, laughing like kids & then trying to look serious seconds before they’d hit the ball.

And the time I gave Padraic & Pat a nickel & dime ‘ nyc tour in ‘99, I believe, looking for the Irish neighborhoods in Staten Island & nyc.

Luckily it was March & NYC & SI is rampant with flags & banners & all sorts of wonderful green silliness for St Patrick’s Day, the American Festival of Spring.

They never knew how many times I got absolutely lost chauffeuring them in the city that day & night, as it’s always changing, lol, & many of the roads were greatly different from my youth there.

I was just at the funeral for our 1st cousin & my godmother, Ellen P(dtr of Peggy Casey of Charlestown) Coady Book Baldwin Moyer, age 87, in east central Pennsylvania.
His 1st cousins Lillian, Maryellen, their family & all of Ellen’s children & our massive extended family also send their condolences & sincerest sorrow for his closest family & friends on his passing, as do my brothers John, Joseph & Christopher & their families & my sons Joshua, Sean & Connor.
He was a true son of the Warriors of the Waterfall.
    Slainté, Sonas, Solas agus Gra.

    Seamus Padraic Cathasaiugh
