Suddenly at his residence. Beloved husband of Karen, and loving father of Sarah (Glencolmcille, Donegal), Ailish (Letterkenny), Katie (Sligo), Stephen (Sligo), Michael (Sligo), James (Sligo), and Cora (Sligo).

Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters, mother, Nellie, brothers, sisters, in-laws, grandchildren, Lewis, Ruby and Santiago, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. 

Rest in peace.

Reposing at the Foley &McGowan Funeral Home, Market Yard, Sligo, on Thursday evening from 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. for family, relatives and friends.

Funeral cortège will leave the Foley & McGowan Funeral Home on Friday morning at 10.45 a.m. to arrive at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballymote for requiem mass at 11.30 a.m., followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium (arriving at 4 p.m.).

Due to the current restrictions and guidelines, the reposing time and funeral will be private for family and friends only.

  2. RIP Micheal, Thank you for all your hard work over the years with the girls soccer in Ballymote, You were very good and fair to my girls over the years and they loved playing soccer for you, You will be missed around Ballymote, and condolences to your family.

  3. Shocked and greatly saddened to hear just now of Michael’s passing. I came to know him well over the last 10-15 years through Girls Soccer – he was a man who gave a lot of his time and energy to the sport and the kids.
