  6. It is one of the proudest joys in my life that I knew Jim for my whole life. It deeply saddens me to learn of his passing. I send my condolences to Liz and his entire family. While I can not be with them physically through these tough times, I am thinking of them constantly as I remember Jim’s large impact on my life. Not a swing of a golf club or a lick of an ice cream cone will go by again without remembering the great man that he was. I am truly honored to say that Jim taught me so much and was a true mentor in life for me. I will cherish all the memories we have together, remembering every word of wisdom he gave me through both tough times and good. I wish that he rest in peace. I hope he can look down on the world and see his vast impact on many of us. May we all put on a good show for him and let him see that we are all better people for having known him. With love I pass along my condolences to his family and all who had the privilege of meeting a true gentleman who exhibited honor, understanding and a cheerful nature that is shining example for all of us.

  11. Today, we honor a true gentlemen.
    His presence filled a room.
    His quick wit and humor
& his laugh drew you in.

    A very kind, empathetic soul,
    who quietly counseled
    With thoughtful wisdom that lingers
at the front of the mind today.

A lover of vanilla ice cream,
    Travel adventures,
The feel of a golf club,
Hosting a meal for family & friends.

He left a mark on every life he met,
    but on our family,
    his impact is enormously felt,
as no memory arises without the feel of his presence.

    Birthdays,
    High School Graduations,
    College Graduation,
    Confirmations,
    Eagle Scout Ceremony,
    Thanksgivings,
    Christmases,
    Soccer games,
    Irish dancing performances,
Jim and his Liz were there.

    He still will be
As he is carried with us
    Into future memories
    As he rests in peace.
