  1. Allen,
die sich in stiller Trauer mit uns verbunden fühlten
und ihre Anteilnahme auf so vielfältige Weise zum Ausdruck brachten,
    danken wir von ganzem Herzen.

You are no longer where you were
but you are everywhere we are.
    Victor Hugo

Günter sadly passed away peacefully at his own home, surrounded by his wife Annette, daughter Lea, son Alex and mother in law Gisela.
We would like to offer our heartfelt appreciation to our extended families in Germany, all the kind friends and neighbours that sent many thoughtful cards, online messages, beautiful flowers and gifts of food, called on the phone and kept Günter and us in their thoughts and prayers.
We are all deeply touched by the many expressions of sympathy and kindness shown.

We would like to thank Dr. Ala Yousif, Olivia Grady and all the staff off the Oncology Ward in Sligo University Hospital for their dedicated care of Günter in the last four years.

A special thanks to the team from Skreen Family Practice, all the Nurses from the Palliative Care Team that called to the house, especially Sharon who was there on the first and the last day, the Community Nurses,
the Night Nurses and the Occupational Therapist for their endless medical, practical and emotional support for us all at this difficult time.

Thanks to all the staff at Boots Pharmacy for your continued help throughout the years.

Thanks to David McGowan and staff for their personal and professional service.

Because it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please take this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam
