The death has occurred peacefully of Gerry McEvoy, surrounded by his loving family in the great care of the nurses and staff at Summerville Nursing Home, Strandhill, Sligo.
Predeceased by his brother Chris.
Beloved husband of Patricia and loving father of Gerry (Aoife), Emily (Kieran), David (Tara), Aileen (Rob), John (Joyce) and Linda (Peter).
He will be sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughters, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren Eve, Joseph, Hayley, Leah, Maia, Ruth, Sofia, Lexi, Penelope and Peregrine, brother John, sisters-in-law Judith and Pam, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at The Foley and McGowan Funeral Home, Market Yard, Sligo on Monday 20th July 2026 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm.
A Celebration of Gerry’s Life will take place on Tuesday 21st July 2026 at 2:30pm at McGowan’s Crematorium and Funeral Home, Collooney, Co. Sligo (F91 AKW5).
