The death has occurred of Gerald (Gerry) Barry, peacefully in his 91st year after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family in the care of the doctors, nurses and staff at Sligo University Hospital.
Predeceased by his son Paul, brothers Robin and John, and sisters Dorothy, Mary and Ann.
Beloved husband of Maureen, dear dad of John, Geraldine, Thérèse and Louise.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, son, daughters, daughter-in-law Kathy, sons-in-law David, Jonathan and Costa, grandchildren Sofia, Kirsten, Stephen, Paolo, Marco, Máirín, Anna and Emily, step-grandson Josh, great-grandson Oscar, brother-in-law Brendan, relatives, neighbours and many friends.
Rest in Peace.
Reposing at the Foley and McGowan Funeral Home, Market Yard, Sligo on Tuesday 9th June from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Funeral will arrive to St. Anne’s Church Sligo (F91R250) at 11:00am on Wednesday 10th June for requiem mass followed by a cremation service at McGowan’s Crematorium and Funeral Home, Collooney, Co. Sligo (F91AKW5).
