  15. Dearest Mark: My siblings and I are soul crushed for you. You have lost your soul mate, your buddy, helpmate, and comfort. Florrie, was for us, our spiritual mother, our counselor, our good-time-gal, our beloved Auntie, and our anchor to the old country. We will miss her pure soul, limitless positivity, warmth, humor, and endless cups of tea. It is the end of an era for us that is profound and painful in all of its manifestations. With that said, you must feel stunned and shattered. We are thinking about you and hoping you are surrounded by lots of love and regard. To Florrie, — Until we see you again; waiting for us down the road, with a rose in your hand. We love you. Hang in there Mark. We love you. And thank you for generously putting up with the American invasions for all these years. Maeve and Dennis, Candice and Juan, Siobhan, Craig and Pauli, Andrea and Tony, Sinead and Brendan, Deirdre and Fiona, Michelle and Gene, Genie, and Celina, Philip and Shelia, Colin, Connor, and Gavin, Aileen and Josephine, Cecily, and Liam. 17. Dear Uncle Mark and my Mooney cousins. We lost an angel this week. Dear, sweet Florrie. The beloved wife and life partner to Mark and loving Auntie to the rest of us. For me, she was the ultimate family anchor, the heart of the Mooney family, a lifeline to a time and the place of my family roots. She was the surrogate mother I didn’t know I needed after my Mom, her sister Jodie, died too early. But above all, she was my friend. Someone I could talk to all day, everyday, about anything, anytime, anywhere. I’ll miss our videocalls and whimsical texts, sharing news, trading updates, and our trips down memory lane. Florrie was full of love, not restricted by time or distance. She brought a positive spark of energy to everything she did and to everyone she met. I’ll treasure the memories of our most recent trips to Sligo, her welcome at the blue door of #8, the warmth of her heart and home. Until we meet again dear Florrie…you are forever in my heart.
