Our dearest Aunt, Grand Aunt and Great Grand Aunt,
You were such a great sport. a good ear and a good friend to us all. May you rest in peace.
Sonas síoraí ar d’anam dhílis, Aunty Nuala. Remembering the laughs we had together in Peter, the Russian’s, house in Kemsford Gardens and later on Western Avenue. And you not wanting me to call you Aunty ‘cos you didn’t want people to know you had a niece of 20 years old! You had such a gift for building little communities wherever you lived. A gift which you brought back with you to Sligo when you eventually retired back there in 2001. Tareqwa is surely waiting to welcome you in Heaven, she so much wanted to go to visit you again in Sligo before her last illness. Slán go dtí go mbuailfimid le chéile arís sna bhFlaithis.
Máire & Behailu.
Sincere condolences to the O Connell family on Nuala’s passing. She sounded like a wonderful lady.
I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of Nuala.
Nuala was a lovely, thoughtful neighbour when I lived in Cartron for a couple of years. When I moved to my new home she even bought me a beautiful card and gift for my new house. I would have often met Nuala in town and we’d always stop and have a chat and she would always ask how we were all doing. I always admired her style and of course her faith. Deepest condolences and May Nuala rest in peace.
